Coral Restoration: August 24-25 – Coral Restoration course and certification taught by the Coral Restoration Foundation (CRF) itself. We have 15 available dive spots.
- Cost – certified coral restoration -$70
- Cost – Needs certification-$170. Donation made when at CRF.

Dive Days (no coral restoration) : August 22 (afternoon), 23 (morning), 26 (morning)
- Boat charter is with Captain Slate Scuba for 2 half days of the in-water training portion $81.50 per diver per day for boat. Includes tanks and weights.
- Gear if needed is available for rent from Captain Slate. The cost will depend on the rental gear needed contact Captain Slate Scuba.
Diving options: the price is $90. for the boat (this is not a charter) participants will sign up for the dive shop boat to meet your personal choice. If you want to stay longer or fewer days that is up to you and prices will be the same per boat trip. Plan your schedule and you pay ahead to reserve your spots. If you are planning a deep wreck dive you must have an advanced open water certification. These dives can be reef or wreck dives.
Accommodations:
Ocean Pointe Suites, Tavernier (Key Largo) FL. The ADFC has 3 suites reserved.
Reserved are 2-bedroom suites that sleep up to 6 people (planning on 3-4 people per suite).
- One room has a king bed,
- Second bedroom has 2 single beds.
- Living room has a sleeper sofa there is a kitchen.
If some participants want a single bedroom that can be added but do that soon because ADFC has not reserved any.
Deposits DUE be in before August 8th.. The 2 Bedroom unit is $235. a day with taxes and fees. The total for Aug. 22 check in and 27 checkout (5 nights) is $1,175 divided by the number of people in the suite. This group rate is under the name Aquarium Divers For Coral. - For accommodations contact Ocean Pointe Suites 305-853-3000 option 1 for reservations or 4 for the sales office. Note: At the time of making the reservation the Ocean Pointe is required to collect payment of the first night to guarantee the reservation and cancellation is at least 5 days prior to the start of the reservation without a penalty.
Note:
- Trip does not include airfare or ground transportation (car rental)
- Divers must have dive accident insurance
- Must be a member of ADFC or the guest of a member.
- The waivers will be sent out prior to the trip to save time on the trip.
