CORAL RESTORATION DETAILS:

We will be working with the Cozumel Coral Reef Restoration Program (CCRRP) Cozumel Coral Reef Restoration Program | Cozumel (ccrrp.mx) The program requires 2 days in the classroom to learn their methodology and in-ocean training which includes nursery tasks and outplanting corals to the reef. The dives will be shallow shore dives with an easy access point. Their methods different than other areas and they require that divers certified from other organizations audit the course for a donation of $50 and those without certifications complete the course for a fee of $175. After completing the course, we will be able to do more coral restoration dives or a full day if divers would like to invest more time in helping the corals. These rates are special for ADFC divers. The normal rate for the course is $255. This certification is a PADI AWARE certification. The CCRRP location is within walking distance but carrying gear there is also an option to take a taxi.

PALACE RESORT DETAILS:

This special trip was put together and offered to ADFC members by two ADFC members. One member is also a member of the Palace Resort. ADFC members are getting special amenities, pricing, and resort credits because of the membership status of this ADFC member.  The Palace Resort is an upscale all-inclusive resort with amazing amenities and is small enough to have all of the personal touches. The 7-night package includes $1500 in resort credits that you can use for diving, spa treatments, and other amenities on the property. The $1500 is enough to cover most diving costs for two people. You will have to pay the park fee and taxes so this brings the cost to $19 per person per day for diving. The price per room is $3,600 (book soon, this pricing is subject to change) and includes food and drinks including top-shelf alcoholic beverages. They are also offering kids and teens free. You can have up to 4 people per room for this price. This rate is for the entire trip NOT per person. Also included are free massages, mani-pedi treatments, and admission to the Dolphin and Stingray experiences. This package also includes all airport transfers.

Please tell us your level of experience so we will know your level of experience with Coral Restoration. If you have other experience or certifications please add that into the comment section below.
